The man pictured was rummaging in the backseat of the victim's car when they were confronted by the owner of the vehicle and their family around 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 27.
When the owner confronted the man, he "slashed the victim across the face with a knife before running from the scene with the victim's credit card," the police said, adding that "the stolen credit card was fraudulently used later that same day at a Target store located in Bensalem, PA."
The following update was released on Friday evening:
"After re-interviewing the victim and witness to this incident, it was determined the suspect, during his assault on the victim cut the victim in the face with a sharp object (a knife, which was initially reported, was never actually viewed by the victim or witness). This caused a minor cut on the victim's face. The victim was treated on scene and released."
The suspect is described as a white man "having some type of skin condition on his face similar to a burn or vitiligo, with dark curly hair, who was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, gray Under Armour sweat pants and black shoes," as stated in the release.
Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the identification of the suspect.
